To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the University of Oldenburg, the Wechloy campus opened its doors for an “Entdeckertag” (discovery day) on May 31 and June 1st. As part of the Entdeckertag, the university presented its research and provided exciting insights into the many opportunities and possibilities at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and the Department of Computer Science. The visitors, most of them were pupils, were able to carry out experiments, take part in hands-on activities and laboratory tours; they could attend workshops and get information about studying and training. For our IML colleagues, who presented the VR demo at the “Entdeckertag”, it was a successful event where many visitors showed great interest in our VR demo and VR in general.
