Omair Shahzad Bhatti and Pratik Sitapara from DFKI’s IML department participated in the Joint Workshop on Generative AI and Knowledge Graphs and KNOwledge GRaphs & Agentic Systems Interplay (GenAIK-NORA 2026), co-located with IJCAI-ECAI 2026 in Bremen, Germany.
The International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI) is the premier international gathering of the artificial intelligence community, held for the 35th time in 2026 and jointly with the European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI). They presented two contributions in the workshop’s Position & Demo Papers Track on knowledge graphs for personal photo management and on ontology-grounded annotation label spaces.
Both contributions were awarded during the workshop on August 17, 2026: Omair Shahzad Bhatti received the Best Paper Award for “PhotoGraph: Claim-Centric Knowledge Graphs for Personal Photo Management” and Pratik Sitapara the Best Student Paper Award for “Structuring Annotation Label Spaces by Natural Language Concept Elicitation and Ontology Grounding“.
