As part of the series of lectures, the department of Applied Artificial Intelligence (AAI) at the University of Oldenburg has been displayed. Prof. Dr. Daniel Sonntag presented the AAI research areas to an interested audience at CORE Oldenburg on 12 March 2025.
In his lecture about human-centred AI, Prof. Sonntag emphasized the importance of human values in the development of AI systems and presented the highlights of his endowed professorship and the work of PhD students.
During his insightful presentation, Prof. Sonntag talked about an AI-based photobook creation tool, emotion detection (FaceGym), and eye tracking functionality; and he looked back on the very successful participation in the XPRIZE RAINFOREST Competition.
